Students Chosen

Yesterday students signed up for a drawing to be one of the three lucky ticket holders for the inauguration. At this time we have received two tickets from Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and two tickets from Representative Kevin Brady.

Names were drawn by Principal Tammie Marberry.

The lucky winners:
Kristina L.
Amanda F.
Brittney Z.

We hope to receive two more tickets from Senator John Coryn.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1. ARE TICKETS REQUIRED? A ticket is not required to attend the inauguration. In fact, only 240,000 tickets were printed and over 4 million people are projected to attend.

2. WHAT DOES A TICKET PROVIDE? Virtually all of the tickets provide standing space only and may or may not provide a better view of the inauguration than those without tickets. Access to the ticketed area will start at 9 AM and all persons with tickets are encouraged to be in place by 10:30 AM.

3. WHAT DO I DO IF I DON’T HAVE A TICKET? Tickets are not required to access the Mall. Loudspeakers and large screens will be set up throughout the Mall to enable attendees without tickets to see and hear the ceremony.

4. WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER? The inauguration is an outdoor event and it’s generally very cold in January in Washington. You should, therefore, prepare for the worst. Warm clothes and comfortable shoes are recommended.
